Adobe makes Firefly, Photoshop and more available through Slackbot

Adobe has made its creative and productivity applications available through Slackbot, Slack’s AI chatbot. The launch gives Slack Business+ and Enterprise+ teams access to applications including Firefly, Adobe Express, Photoshop, Premiere, Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, Stock and Lightroom from within Slack.
More than 70 Adobe tools will also be available through the Adobe for Slack MCP app. Rather than opening a separate application for every task, users can describe the outcome they want in Slack, and Slackbot can call the relevant Adobe tool to carry it out.
Slack conversations become an entry point to Adobe tools
Adobe said Slackbot takes account of the surrounding conversation when it invokes its tools. A team can use information held in Slack conversations or Canvas to create PDFs, images or videos. It can also bring assets from previous campaigns or a Creative Cloud asset library into a chat and edit them there.
The integration is aimed at work that starts in a conversational workspace but requires production assets or document output. Adobe’s stated examples span both creative and productivity tasks, combining chat context with tools for generating, editing and assembling content.
Part of Adobe’s broader chatbot integration strategy
The Slack rollout follows Adobe’s integration with ChatGPT last month, and the company is planning a Gemini integration. The pattern reflects a broader shift among creative software providers: capabilities once accessed mainly through standalone applications are being exposed inside services where users already formulate requests and coordinate work.
Adobe Senior Director for Agentic AI Deepti Pradeep said customers use Adobe tools in other applications for repeatable workflows, such as batch-editing images and resizing creative materials, without leaving the application. In focus groups, she said, users emphasized time savings, faster outcomes and access to Adobe where they are already working.
Adobe’s wider product direction includes Adobe Firefly assistant expansion across Premiere, Illustrator and InDesign, connecting the Slack release to its effort to place AI-assisted creative work in more parts of the production process.
Business implication
For teams on eligible Slack plans, the immediate business implication is to identify repeatable tasks that can use chat context and existing assets, then set clear review and approval steps before those outputs are used in campaigns, documents or videos.
