Hackers from DPRK suspected of stealing $290M from Kelp DAO protocol

Colleagues, please note: a cybersecurity incident. Over the weekend attackers drained more than $290M from Kelp DAO, a yield protocol for idle crypto assets. LayerZero reported the exploit routed through its bridge; attackers then exploited the absence of multisignature controls in Kelp's configuration. LayerZero cites preliminary indicators pointing to the TraderTraitor group linked to DPRK; Kelp DAO denies the allegation. The risk is that bridges and weak configurations enable fraudulent transactions and fund extraction. Why it matters: bridge and configuration vulnerabilities are a systemic threat to DeFi. What measures are you taking to protect assets in such scenarios? #cybersecurity #crypto #blockchain #DeFi
