Microsoft and OpenAI revised their agreement: exclusivity was replaced by a term — Microsoft’s license to OpenAI IP runs through 2032, and OpenAI may deploy products on any cloud.

Azure remains the “primary” partner — most services are likely to run on Azure over the next six years.

This removes litigation risk related to OpenAI’s deal with Amazon (Frontier and stateful runtime).
