Spotify introduces “Verified by Spotify” badges to distinguish live artists from AI

Criteria: recognisable online and offline presence (concerts, merch, social media). AI personas and profiles primarily producing AI music will be excluded. Verification prioritises steady listener engagement over one‑off spikes; at launch, over 99% of actively searched artists will be badged.

A beta section with career milestones and an Artist Profile Protection tool for release control will appear.
