Advanced Account Security in ChatGPT: a new option for maximum account protection

Colleagues, I want to share OpenAI's launch of Advanced Account Security.

Key changes:
- Opt‑in for at‑risk users: requires passkeys and/or hardware keys, eliminating passwords.
- Email/SMS recovery disabled; only backup passkeys/keys/recovery keys; support cannot restore these accounts.
- Shorter sessions, alerts and active-session controls; conversations auto-excluded from model training.
- Partnership with Yubico: discounts on YubiKey bundles; any FIDO keys supported.

Why it matters: significantly strengthens account security and reduces interception risk.
