Trellix Confirms Unauthorized Access to Part of Source Code Repository

Colleagues, a cybersecurity alert: Trellix has confirmed unauthorized access to part of a source code repository.

The company detected the compromise, engaged leading forensic experts and notified law enforcement. Trellix has not disclosed which data were exposed but reports indications of impact to code; there is currently no evidence of release-process or distribution tampering. The attacker’s identity and duration of access have not been disclosed.

Why it matters: code leaks can weaken product defenses and erode trust — review CI/CD, access controls and monitoring now. What steps would you recommend to your teams?
