Colleagues, a note: in cybersecurity circles there’s debate about the size of malware archives.

vx‑underground claims ~30 TB of source code; VirusTotal reports about 31 PB of collected samples. Assuming one 3.5″ HDD per TB (height ≈ 1″): 30 TB = 30 drives ≈ 30″ (~2.5 ft); 31 PB = 31,744 drives ≈ 2,645 ft — taller than the Eiffel Tower (1,083 ft) and approaching the Burj Khalifa.

Why it matters: such repositories are critical for training detection models and threat analysis.
