Operation Endgame dismantled SocGholish and remediated nearly 15,000 WordPress sites

Colleagues, a security update: Operation Endgame disabled SocGholish infrastructure and cleaned 14,971 WordPress sites.

Who/what: The Dutch High Tech Crime Unit, with support from Canada, Germany and the US, took down 106 servers and notified site owners.

Threat: SocGholish is a JavaScript loader masquerading as updates; it delivers various malware modules and uses domain shadowing and TDS.

Action: Immediately update your CMS, change passwords and remove suspicious accounts.

Why it matters: The operation reduced attacker access, but risk of re‑compromise remains.
