X simplifies AI access to the platform with a hosted MCP server

I’d like to share a development from the AI and MCP space: X has launched a hosted MCP server for Claude, Cursor, Grok Build, and other compatible applications.

AI tools can now connect to the X API using the end user’s own permissions. Previously, developers had to build and host an MCP server themselves.

No new functionality has been added, but the integration is now significantly easier. For X, this is also a step toward positioning itself not just as a social network, but as a real-time data network.

Why it matters: less infrastructure for developers, faster AI rollout, but the risk of spam remains.
