Cybersecurity: It’s not the vulnerability database that matters, but the speed of remediation

Colleagues, I’d like to highlight a shift in cybersecurity: today, value is created not by the vulnerability database itself, but by the speed with which a finding becomes a ready fix.
Clearinghouse is only the entry point. What matters more is:
- how quickly a vulnerability reaches a rebuilt, tested, signed fix;
- how many issues are resolved without manual handling;
- how many fixes make it upstream and protect more than one customer.
If findings start piling up in the queue, that is a risk — not success.
Why it matters: in a world where exploitation often outpaces the public patch, the winner is a well-tuned fix factory.
What do you think matters more — collecting more findings, or closing them faster?
