Nvidia Faces the Other Side of the Compute Market It Helped Create

Nvidia Faces the Other Side of the Compute Market It Helped Create

I’d like to share an observation from the AI and data infrastructure space.

Nvidia has long been the main beneficiary of the boom, but the market is now starting to rebalance.

Demand for AI GPUs no longer looks as constrained as it once did, and compute prices are easing.

At the same time, data center memory — especially DRAM and HBM — is becoming the new bottleneck. That is where more and more capital is flowing.

Major players are also developing their own chips to reduce dependence on Nvidia, putting pressure on compute economics.

Why this matters: every breakthrough tends to create the next scarcity. Today, that is memory and infrastructure, not just GPUs.

Who do you think will emerge as the main winner of the next phase of the AI race?
