Nous Research Raises $1.5B Valuation: What It Means for the Open-Source AI Agent Market

Nous Research, the team behind the open-source Hermes agent, is reportedly preparing a new round at a $1.5 billion valuation. Robot Ventures is leading the deal, while USV and other investors are also said to be actively participating.

The company is raising at least $75 million, just months after its $50 million Series A.

Hermes has already become a notable project thanks to its open code, built-in skills for search, coding and image work, as well as strong developer traction.
