SASE and AI: Why Packet Inspection Is No Longer Enough

SASE and AI: Why Packet Inspection Is No Longer Enough

Colleagues, I’d like to highlight a major shift in cybersecurity: traditional SASE is facing an AI blind spot.

We are seeing workflows move increasingly into the browser, SaaS, and generative AI tools. At this layer, the network proxy no longer sees the substance of the interaction.

Conventional traffic inspection is becoming less effective against TLS 1.3, HTTP/3, and certificate pinning. As a result, exceptions multiply, complexity rises, and control weakens.

Security logic is shifting to the point of interaction — on the device, in the browser, and at the endpoint.

Why this matters: context must be assessed before data leaves the device, otherwise security lags behind how people and AI actually work.

How do you see the future of SASE in the AI era?
