Approval gap in AI ad tech: the risk in an approved tag

Colleagues, I’d like to draw your attention to a cybersecurity topic.

I reviewed an analysis showing how one approved marketing tag can pull in fourth-party code that the security team never vetted. As a result, forms, customer data, and checkout pages are put at risk.

The core issue is that approval does not equal the actual state of the page. This is especially relevant now, as AI accelerates new integrations, endpoints, and hidden calls.

The key is not to assess a vendor once, but to continuously monitor, sandbox, and control what is actually executing in the browser.

Why it matters: these blind spots often become issues for audit, compliance, and incident response.

Do you have a clear view of the client-side code running on your site?
