Microsoft Issues Record Patch Batch: AI Is Helping Uncover More Vulnerabilities

Colleagues, I’d like to draw your attention to a cybersecurity update.

Microsoft has released a record 570 patches for Windows, Office and other products.

Among them are at least two zero-days:
— one in Windows Server allows privilege escalation to administrator level;
— the other in SharePoint is already being actively exploited.

Microsoft directly links the rise in discoveries to the use of AI to identify hidden flaws in code.

Why it matters: the better the detection tools, the more vulnerabilities come to light — which is why updates should be installed without delay.
