Tesla, FSD and a fatal crash in Texas: NTSB confirms a key detail

Tesla, FSD and a fatal crash in Texas: NTSB confirms a key detail

Friends, I’d like to share an update from the world of technology and autonomous driving.

The NTSB has confirmed that, in Tesla’s fatal Texas crash, the driver pressed the accelerator pedal to 100%.

According to the investigation, the vehicle was travelling at more than 70 mph, despite a 30 mph speed limit on the road, before striking a house.

A 76-year-old resident was killed. A lawsuit is now underway, alongside a separate regulatory investigation.

Why this matters: cases like this once again show that, even with advanced driver-assistance systems, responsibility for monitoring the road remains with the human.

Where do you think the line lies between driver assistance and full personal responsibility? #Tesla #autopilot #NTSB #cybersecurity
