Zoom has patched a critical Windows vulnerability: account takeover risk

Colleagues, I’d like to draw your attention to a cybersecurity update.
Zoom has released patches for the critical CVE-2026-53412 vulnerability in Windows. It affects Zoom Workplace, the Desktop Client, the VDI Client, and the Meeting SDK.
According to the company, an input validation flaw could have allowed an unauthorised attacker to take over an account over the network.
Zoom has also fixed three additional high-severity vulnerabilities related to privilege escalation in Windows components.
There are currently no signs of real-world exploitation.
Why it matters: issues like these directly affect the security of corporate communications and accounts.
