Mozilla found Stardust sharing sensitive user data with analytics service

Mozilla found that Stardust was sending sensitive user data to RudderStack, including date of birth, contraception type, reproductive goals, and symptoms.

The data was linked to a unique identifier rather than a name, but that does not make it anonymous. Such transfers often happen in the background and are invisible to users.

Why it matters: health apps handle highly sensitive information, and sharing it with third parties increases the risk of leaks and external access.
