WordPress Under Attack: Critical Vulnerabilities Are Already Being Exploited

Colleagues, I would like to draw your attention to a cybersecurity update: recently patched critical WordPress vulnerabilities are already being actively exploited.

WordPress has issued patches and has urged site owners to update immediately. For some installations, forced updates have also been enabled.

Affected versions include 6.9.0–6.9.4 and 7.0.0–7.0.1. According to industry reports, attacks are taking place in the wild, and this chain of flaws could give attackers full remote control of a site.

I would recommend not delaying updates, and also reviewing WAF protection and traffic filtering.

Why this matters: even a short delay in patching can lead to site takeover and data loss.
