Apple fixes Hide My Email flaw that could expose real addresses in mail logs

Colleagues, I’d like to highlight a cybersecurity update.
Apple has patched a vulnerability in Hide My Email that could have exposed users’ real email addresses in mail logs.
According to 404 Media, the issue had been known to the company for more than a year. The fix was deployed on July 3, 2026, but addresses created before July 7 may already have been logged when messages were marked as spam.
This is a clear reminder that even paid privacy features require continuous scrutiny and transparent user notification.
Do you think such issues should always be disclosed publicly at once?
