Anthropic and Physical Intelligence: the rumor showed how quickly the AI market is moving into robotics

Friends, I’d like to share a development from the worlds of AI and robotics.

The rumored Anthropic–Physical Intelligence deal spread rapidly across the AI market. It later became clear that talks did in fact take place in the spring, although the public version of the rumor was inaccurate.

Anthropic and OpenAI are both looking for ways to go beyond text and models. Robotics offers an understanding of the physical world that is difficult to replicate with internet data alone.

One important nuance: OpenAI is already an investor in Physical Intelligence.
