Check Point has patched a critical SmartConsole flaw: what to do now

Colleagues, I’d like to draw your attention to a cybersecurity update: Check Point has released patches for Security Management and MDSM.
The key issue is CVE-2026-16232 in SmartConsole, which is already being actively exploited. It allows a remote attacker to bypass authentication and gain full administrative access.
The company has also fixed CVE-2026-62144 and CVE-2026-62145, which could enable administrative command execution and root access.
Check Point recommends installing the July hotfix, restricting Trusted Clients, and blocking Management access via the firewall.
Why this matters: if Management is directly exposed to the internet, the risk of compromise becomes critical.
Have you already prioritized this patch across your environment?
