Tesla: Robotaxi growth slows, rather than accelerates

Tesla reported a decline in paid Robotaxi mileage in Q2: about 700,000 miles versus 1.1 million in Q1.

What matters:
• the network expanded to six cities in Texas and Florida;
• however, scaling is progressing more slowly than expected;
• Elon Musk is now emphasizing data collection for Cybercab and a more cautious approach to safety.

Why it matters: the market is once again seeing a gap between bold promises and the actual pace of autonomous service.
