Iran-Linked Hackers Are Targeting U.S. Infrastructure: What You Need to Know

Colleagues, I’d like to draw your attention to a cybersecurity and critical infrastructure alert.

The FBI, NSA, DOE and CISA have warned that Iran-linked hackers are interfering with industrial systems used by U.S. water and energy providers.

According to the agencies, the attacks are targeting internet-accessible controllers and PLCs.

This is no longer limited to Rockwell: Schneider Electric and Siemens solutions are also at risk.

In one case, attackers altered controller logic, disabling emergency shutdown and alarm functions.

Why it matters: if OT systems are exposed to the internet, safety, operational continuity and trust in infrastructure are all at risk.
