In cybersecurity, visibility into AI agents is not enough — control over their actions matters too

In cybersecurity, visibility into AI agents is not enough — control over their actions matters too

Colleagues, I’d like to draw your attention to a news item from the cybersecurity and AI security space.

I increasingly see the same conclusion: finding AI agents is not enough. If they have access to data, APIs, and workflows, security must go beyond inventory.

Today the key questions are:
— who owns the agent;
— what permissions and tokens it has;
— what its real intent is;
— what it has already done, and when access should be restricted.

Why this matters: without enforcement, visibility creates a false sense of control. We need policies that define in advance what an agent can and cannot do.

Does your company already control AI agents?
