Waymo and Uber: the robotaxi alliance may be fraying

According to the Financial Times, Waymo wants to launch robotaxis in its own app in Austin and Atlanta from January 2028.

Uber says the current contract for these cities runs until May 2028. The companies had already parted ways in Phoenix.

Tensions between the parties are clearly rising, with disputes over safety and regulation.
