Berry Street and Healthify combine GLP-1 care and nutrition coaching

Berry Street and Healthify combine GLP-1 care and nutrition coaching

U.S. nutrition startup Berry Street has merged with Indian digital health company Healthify, combining insurance-covered GLP-1 care with AI-powered and human nutrition and fitness coaching. The companies did not disclose financial terms. Berry Street founder Noah Kotlove and Healthify founder Tushar Vashisht will serve as co-CEOs of the combined entity.

The business will operate as Berry Street in the United States and as Healthify in other markets, including India. The transaction targets growing demand for services supporting people who use GLP-1 drugs for weight loss. A JPMorgan report published this year estimated that more than 30 million people in the U.S. will be on GLP-1 drugs by 2030.

Combining clinical access with digital coaching

Berry Street brings a network of more than 2,000 clinics and offers insurance-covered GLP-1 care. The company also provides AI-powered nutrition coaching and meal tracking, and says it has served more than 200,000 people through collaborations with Amazon, Walmart and other platforms.

Healthify offers AI-assisted and human fitness and nutritional coaching through its app. The company says it has served more than 45 million customers and has raised more than $150 million in funding, per Crunchbase. It expanded into the U.S. last year and began offering GLP-1-assisted programmes in India.

Vashisht said Healthify had spent a decade developing AI that can deliver outcomes at scale, while Berry Street adds clinical capabilities and coverage infrastructure for the U.S. market. The combined company is therefore bringing together app-based guidance, dietitian support and access to care covered by insurance.

Scale in a developing GLP-1 market

Berry Street raised $50 million last year from Northzone, Sofina and FJ Labs. Healthify is backed by Khosla Ventures. Vinod Khosla, founder of Khosla Ventures, said the companies are pairing AI with a nationwide network of expert clinicians to provide daily nutrition guidance and dietitian advice within metabolic care.

The merger retains separate market-facing brands while aligning the two companies under shared leadership. That structure gives Berry Street a U.S. identity built around its clinic and insurance relationships, while Healthify continues operating under its existing name in India and other markets.

Business implication

For companies developing digital health offerings, the deal illustrates the value of combining coaching technology with clinician networks and reimbursement infrastructure when supporting GLP-1 users.
