Meta connects Muse to small-business software
Meta has expanded its Muse AI agent to small businesses, adding integrations with Shopify, Dropbox, Slack and a wider set of operational, sales and marketing tools. The company says Muse can help owners run their businesses and find new customers by drawing on context from the systems they already use.
Muse can also connect to Instagram professional account analytics, Facebook Pages and Meta ad accounts. Meta says the agent can understand what a business sells, how its brand sounds and the questions customers ask most often. Muse for Small Business is available free with usage limits; businesses that need more usage can buy a subscription plan.
A broader set of connected business data
The newly listed integrations include Asana, Box, Canva, Figma, Granola, HighLevel, Intuit QuickBooks, Klaviyo, Lovable, Notion, Stripe and Zoom. Meta's approach is to place the agent within the software used to manage day-to-day operations, rather than offer only a standalone chatbot.
That strategy builds on Muse AI agent launch for everyday tasks as Meta now positions the agent around the connected information that small businesses maintain across commerce, communications, finance and marketing systems. Meta says small businesses told it that they are short on hours rather than ideas, and that Muse was designed to work with their existing tools.
Muse becomes part of Meta's enterprise push
The small-business release arrived one day after Meta introduced Meta Enterprise Platform, an initiative aimed at extending the company's AI offerings to businesses and corporate customers. Chirantan “CJ” Desai, the chief executive of database software company MongoDB, was hired to lead the initiative.
Meta says the platform will bring its technology stack to businesses and developers, including Muse, Meta Business Agent, Muse API and Muse Code. The company says Muse launched earlier this month and reached the top of app charts in the United States and Canada ahead of ChatGPT.
For businesses, the practical implication is to identify which existing systems can be connected to Muse, determine whether the available context supports useful operational or customer-facing work, and weigh that value against the limits of the free tier or the cost of a subscription.
